VS 41-30-11 42-36-4The Sharks and Stars each had good enough seasons to make the playoffs. The Stars met the highly favoured Ducks in the first round and swept them in 4 games outscoring them 12-4. Kipper had an amazing 0.97 goals against average and a .967 save percentage. Jochen Hecht led the way with 6 points in 4 games. The Sharks met the Blackhawks, where they overcame a 3-1 deficit to win the series in a shocking game 7. The Sharks used their offence in the series to beat the hawks, scoring 28 goals in 7 games. The question is, can the play of Kipper cool down the amazing offence of the San Jose Sharks? And will the exciting ending to the first round series motivate the Sharks in this series? Offence - no doubt Defence - Goaltending - Prediction - in 7. I think the cinderella story ends here and now

Stars move on!The Stars, with a 4-1 win, have defeated the Sharks in an exciting 6 game series. "Oh my, there was offence, good goaltending, everything. We are just happy to be the team that is moving on" GM/Coach Terry Murray said. One of the games ended with the Stars winning 8-4 which was shocking to goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff. "I never knew we could score those many goals". For the Sharks, a good year has come to an end. Ron Wilson reflected on the series. "We gave them our all, and lets get something straight. Kipper didn't steal this series. We were not that great defencively" coach Ron Wilson said following the game 6 loss. The Stars will meet the shocking Colorado Avalanche. It will be the story of the two cinderella teams!
